Meet the Teacher
I am Mrs. Chelsea Moore, a recent graduate of Texas Woman’s University. I am married to Damon Moore. We have a beautiful Shar-pei, named Geisha. Before teaching, I worked for a restaurant hospitality company, Restaurant Works, Inc., where I marketed four restaurant concepts and assisted in purchasing for new restaurants.
This will be my fourth year of teaching and my first year to teach kindergarten in Mansfield ISD. I previously tought in Irving ISD. Throughout college, I interned at High Country Elementary in the Eagle Mountain Saginaw ISD. I taught Mrs. Tanner’s 1st grade class. I also interned at Forestridge Elementary in Richardson, where I assisted in Mrs. Bond’s kindergarten class.
Teaching has been a life long dream of mine. As a child I would line up my stuffed animals and teach them. In my first internship I was given the opportunity to see the inspiration of discovery in the eyes of a child. This opportunity is what I wish upon all of my students.
Mrs. Moore’s Philosophy of Teaching
My teaching philosophy stems from a desire to watch kids learn. As a facilitator of learning, I want my students to enjoy discovering their surroundings. Students will be encouraged to try new ideas and explore uncharted territory. The classroom environment will remain a positive one to allow children to feel safe and prepared to take on the day. With structure in the fundamentals of the school routine, the students will be able to explore with a sense of security in their boundaries. Classroom and individual rewards will be given to all that excel above and beyond expectations.
